Loch Lomond Angling and Improvement Association The Lomond system provides some of the best game and coarse fishing available in the UK with day, weekly and season tickets available.  The salmon and trout fishing season on the Lomond System opens in February to October each year.  Game Fishing day or weekly tickets for the River Leven and Loch Lomond and Coarse Fishing tickets are available from The Lomond Angler and Local Retailers page. Stalking can be arranged at request in the beautiful surroundings of Loch Lomond with possible Game Shooting when in season.

Carman Trout Fishery is situated in the hills above Renton in West Dunbartonshire (a five minute walk from Carman Hill House).  The fishery is stock with hard fighting Brown Trout and Blue Trout, also some Rainbow Trout, situated in beautiful surroundings and rich with wildlife, including resident Mallard Duck and Geese, Buzzards and Kestrels can often be seen and in summer evenings it is a joy to see the Osprey hunting along the waters edges, all these birds are encouraged and protected by the Fishery Management, a days fishing on Carman is a very enjoyable and relaxing experience, and all Anglers are assured of a warm welcome by the fishery manager Jack.

The Shore Loch Lomond is one of Loch Lomond's premier wedding and events venues.  It overlooks the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, it is a beautifully refurbished venue providing flexible space to suit a multitude of needs.  The Shore also boats outstanding dining facilities and a luxurious spa.

Cardross Golf Club was founded in 1895. The Club has a welcoming clubhouse, excellent catering, a well-stocked Professional's shop and is one of the best inland parkland golf courses in the West of Scotland. Being less than 6 miles from the world renowned Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, with stunning views over the river Clyde and only 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport, makes Cardross not only easily accessible but a must on any golfing holiday. Visitors and Societies are most welcome to come and play.

PS Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. Magnificently restored with towering funnels, timber decks, gleaming varnish and brass. Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is located within the boundaries of the first National Park in Scotland, Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. The centre is just 30 minute drive from Glasgow, easily reached by car, bus, or train. So, if you are looking for a Bird of Prey encounter, why not go along and spend a few hours in the company of these remarkable creatures.

Dumbarton Castle Historic Scotland welcomes visitors from around the world to more than 300 historic sites. Both irreplaceable and precious, each property is a wonderful reflection of Scotland’s intriguing history, one that takes you over 5000 years. Dumbarton Castle guards the point where the River Leven joins the River Clyde. Its recorded history reaches back 1,500 years. At that time the place was known as Alt Clut, ‘Rock of the Clyde’. Later it became known by the Gaelic name Dun Breatann, ‘Fortress of the Britons’, from which the name Dumbarton is derived.

SEA LIFE Loch Lomond Aquarium is just a 5 minute drive away, situated on the stunning Loch Lomond Shores. The aquarium offers great fun for all the family, whatever the weather!
